I am a counsellor with 15+ years of experience working with multicultural populations. I have lived and worked in the USA, Lebanon and Australia.
I support at-risk youth, displaced families, and those seeking support for relationship challenges. I work with mood disorders and different types of trauma, which may arise from bullying and other various forms of violence.
I offer a client-centred and multicultural approach in therapy. I emphasise accepting the uniqueness of each individual while also working with the intricate impact of culture on self- awareness, development and overall well-being.
In addition to the wide range of therapeutic techniques, I offer Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also an animal lover and believe in integrating animals into therapy, when appropriate, as this type of therapy can provide soothing, healing and comfort for individual clients.
I am fluent in Arabic and also offer therapy in Arabic. I speak some French.
