Counselling Intern

"I work from a person-centred, strengths-based approach, helping clients notice and draw on their resilience while exploring what matters most to them."

About Me

I work from a person-centred, strengths-based approach, helping clients notice and draw on their resilience while exploring what matters most to them. I believe that everyone has the capacity to navigate difficult times, and sometimes we need guidance to see that capacity and take steps toward it.

My approach is to build a genuine therapeutic connection and create a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. I am not here to fix or solve, but to offer a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.

I see counselling as a collaborative journey, one grounded in understanding, respect, and walking alongside you through life’s challenges.

I have a particular interest in grief and loss, including the grief that can come with losing a pet. I am also interested in supporting women through challenges such as the pressures of motherhood, perfectionism, people pleasing, and identity shifts.

What is a Counsellor?

A counsellor is a mental health expert who provides support and guidance to individuals who are facing emotional and psychological challenges or issues, helping them develop effective coping strategies and improve well-being.

In Australia, counsellors are registered with either the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) or the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). This means that they are a registered counsellor, signifying they have met specific professional standards and ethical guidelines.
