Xufeng Su

Provisional Psychologist & Executive Coach

I am a provisional psychologist who is committed to delivering genuine person-centered and strength-based therapy. I aim to provide a space for my clients, that is safe, welcoming and free from judgment or stigma. As a therapist, I aim to assist and support clients in exploring their unique values and identities.

Through my own lived experience, I have a deep understanding of the imbalance and distress one may feel when experiencing oppression or being unable to live as their authentic self. When supporting my clients – instead of assuming the expert position – I partner with them, exploring their potential and understanding who they want to be. During the therapy journey, my goal is to create a secure place where my clients can be heard.

I specialise in working with adults who come from a cultural minority background (including immigrants, sexual minorities, religious minorities, cultural minorities). I have dual Masters' degrees and  experience working in both the psychological and business management sectors.  It is a passion of mine to support working adults to manage their work stress and reach professional wellbeing through an effective therapeutic journey.

My key areas of support include helping individuals in discovering their self-identity, self-worth, and communication or emotional expression issues. In other ways, I strive to help my clients to be themselves. The constant feeling of “feeling unable to be myself” can lead to a large amount of mental health struggles and stress within an individuals'  professional workplace and everyday life.

In addition to English, I also speak Mandarin and Cantonese. As a cultural minority myself, I have empathy for the challenges that come with working and living in an environment where it may feel difficult to express yourself freely due to language barriers. (我会说普通话和广东话,作为一个移民,我能体会当我们感觉自己不能在职场或者生活中自由表达自己的时候我们会感到痛苦).
